Wachimak - Volunteer Ecuador

Here is another great opportunity to experience an Amazonian jungle community in Ecuador:

“I have just spent an amazing week in a remote community in the oriente (east) of Ecuador. It was a week way too short but other commitments have me elsewhere… Whilst I can’t volunteer my time for longer in the community I can volunteer a recommendation to try and get the community a volunteer for the future.

The community is 5 hours by bus from Quito (capital of Ecuador) to Tena, 3-5 hours by bus from Tena to a place down the River Napo, 15-30min canoe ride from there to the beach for Wachimak and an hour hike through incredible Amazonian jungle – sound remote? It is!”
