Hey all!
My name is Martin Jonsson and I am one of the people behind http://www.volunteeringinfo.org, which is a website aimed at making life little easier for anyone who is considering to volunteer. Just like TrueTravellers (which we also think is an excellent resource, and we hope to work closely with them) we have links and information about volunteering opportunities (both free and paid) as well as several interviews with past and present volunteers, organisation reviews and much more.
Our database of volunteering organisation currently has 80 organisations listed, all of which have submitted and manage their own entries in order to ensure that all the information is up-to-date and accurate, which you can search through using various criteria such as job types offered, country of activity and cost (if any).
We’ve also got two in-house bloggers and volunteers extraordinaire who write about their adventures weekly. Diane Emerson (you can check out her first blog entry here) sold (nearly) all of her earthly possessions and set off on her bike to volunteer around the world, and Jay Chavez (check out her current posts here) went to South America for a 6 week volunteer stint but ended up marrying a local and starting her own volunteer organisation. They’ve both got fantastic stories to tell, so do check them out!
