Volunteer Doctor - Jordan

This organization is designed to assist (mostly children), without cost to the families, those who are in critical condition and require medical, mental assistance from qualified doctors (doctors mostly from Western Countries)and others.

Currently, our primary aim is to assist Iraqi children in-need of immediate cardiac surgery, dental care and to acquire doctors capable of performing the task; however, outside of the country of Iraq. The families voluntarily come the organization. In addition, we have plans to acquire the building we are currently operating in, or a similar building.

There are opportunities for men, women and/or families to volunteer with children in-need of immediate, cardiac surgery (outside of the hospital), who are waiting for volunteer doctors to do the surgery in hospitals mostly outside of the country. The children and parents or guardian, are with us 2 weeks at a time, and are assessed by volunteer doctors (that we are continually in-search of), nurses, others who volunteer to cook, clean, counselers, drive patients and/or staff to various places, shop, assisting families with visa info to travel to other destinations where surgery will be performed.

Only families and women will be allowed to stay at the site, in a country setting: 10 room flat, for a nominal cost. Single men must live outside of the flat.

Currently needed: *4-6 women who will live on the premises and share their room with one other, or a family with not more than 2 children and 2 women. Also we have a dormitory for women (unoccupied now) that could be used for that purpose, or for patients and their mothers only; capacity for 15 people comfortably.
