Volunteer Opportunities:
Applications are open for volunteer classes beginning in January, May and
September.
The selection process takes approximately 6 weeks.
*What are the basic requirements to work with VE Global?*
*
*Aside from the minimum age requirement of 18 years old and the ability to
speak English or Spanish at an intermediate level or higher, previous
volunteers have exhibited an array of characteristics ranging from
creativity, a caring demeanor and the ability to work well within a team.
Each of these traits contributes not only to the diversity of the
organization, but also to the success of its programming. Below are the
requirements.
1. Minimum stay of 4 months
2. Arrive for one of the January, May, or September classes
3. Intermediate level(s) of Spanish and/or English
4. Participation in the Orientation week
5. Participation in the Jornada weekend retreat
6. Attendance of bi-weekly general and committee meetings
7. Involvement in a VE committee (10hrs/week)
8. Full time involvement in an institution (Approximately 30 hrs/wk)
9. Welcoming in the next class of volunteers by assisting with their
Orientation!
*Internship Program
*
For students and recent graduates looking to volunteer abroad as well as
gain experience working in an international non-profit, we offer a limited
number of intern positions. The VE interns experience varies based on the
interns needs and interests. Interns who would like to work with children
must participate in a VE Intensive Experience Orientation and must stay for
a minimum of four months. Office-based internships do not need to arrive
with a class of volunteers if they are not working in an institution.
Interns must be available to work full-time during their internship.

*Consultant Program
*
For professionals and university graduates with limited time but specific
skills and experience to contribute to VE, we offer consultant positions.
Consultants come to VE with a specific project in mind, based on their area
of expertise. Past consultants have included health professionals who run
general and sexual health workshops in a few institutions as well as
workshops for the volunteers on how to teach sexual education, and a group
of law students who worked with a team of Chilean lawyers to help VE obtain
non-profit status in Chile. Consultant applications will be reviewed by the
Executive Director and Director of Volunteer Relations. Interested? write
us an email at info@ve-global.org.
