Volunteer Teachers Required at Cofradia’s Bilingual School

Cofradia’s Bilingual School in San Pedro Sula, Honduras is looking for volunteer teachers. The school provides a high-quality, affordable bilingual education to the community of Cofradia that is not available through the local public school system. Thanks to a devoted team of internationally-recruited volunteers and locally recruited Honduran teachers, students at Cofradia’s Bilingual School receive more in-depth, expert instruction in all subject areas than would otherwise be available, as well as a unique global learning experience which both motivates and inspires. Students leave CBS with a good command of the English language which translates directly into higher-paying jobs, and increased opportunities for higher education.

In August of every year, a team of volunteer-teachers arrives in Cofradia to work until the end of the school year in June. These volunteers are responsible for teaching classes – English, Maths (lower grades only), science, art, P.E – , organizing school functions and fundraisers, and community outreach. All volunteer taught classes are conducted in English, so Spanish-language skills are not required. Similarly, while experience in education is undoubtedly beneficial, prior teaching experience is not required to work at CBS. We value more highly motivated, passionate, and hard-working people.
