Educational Support / Income Generation at a local level – Andean Alliance – Peru

Andean Alliance is a Peruvian registerd Civil Assocation  (Grassroots Organization ) that works in the Northern Andes, Huaraz area in a small rural area at 3650 mtrs. We work with Early Childhood Education , literacy and comprehension skill building in addition to the development of a local community center that will house not only the edcational rooms but areas for local guides, donkey drivers etc. to sell their services directly to tourists, a small cafe concept for women to sell to tourists in addition to handicrafts. We have been in this area since 2003 with Andean Alliance  actively working since 2005. Our goals are based in education, income generation at a local level, building bridges of communication and confidence between surrounding comunities and by actually living here it allows us to be part of the comunity. The area is home to low income rural farmers ad borders on the Huascaran National Park.

We are looking for members across the World to join us in creating a global charity.

Hi, we at Experience Himalayan Nepal are looking to create a global network consisting of people interested in building a charity that actually helps the Orphans of Nepal.

We have created a system that is aimed at creating self supporting orphanages where the children are put first. Our aim is to create sponsorship packages, volunteers & charity trekking where the money is used to create not only an environment for children to live in but also  create a future for the children when they become adults.

We are looking for people who are interested in setting up our organization in their own country working side by side with us in Nepal.

Anyone who is interested in knowing more then please contact wayne@experiencehimalayannepal.org

Eco Truly Park – Volunteer Peru

Eco Truly Park is a beautiful Peruvian Pacific coast ecological, self-sufficient and artistic community. Residents and volunteers live together according to principles of non-violence, which is a core principle here, and visitors can learn and experience how it is possible to live happily in harmony with nature, others, and themselves.

The architecture and values of the community is in part inspired by Indian traditional teachings and lifestyle, and we are the first lively ecological educational centre of Peru. We have inspired similar successful projects in neighbouring countries such as Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Bolivia.

Our community is strategically located in Chacra y Mar beach, a district of Aucallama in the province of Huaral, one hour (63 km) north of the capital city, Lima.

In the last 18 years we have developed a unique organic awareness cultivation and ecological program ran by an increasing number of members and volunteers. The community is 2.5 m above sea level and consisted previously of completely sandy , unworkable land. Today our community is visited by the population of Lima and international visitors, who are able to experience an alternative way of life. The surrounding area of the Huaral province has thus been influenced positively in terms of the ecological consciousness of its people.

Through recent professional studies, Eco Truly Park programs have become a model of sustainable alternative solutions for the extreme poverty of more than half of the Peruvian citizens (over 14 million people) living in rural and urban marginalised villages.

Nowadays, Eco Truly Park is also recognized as an important tourist destination by regional government and the Peruvian media, receiving over 75,000 visitors since it started 18 years ago. Please drop in anytime to, enjoy our ecological lodging (hotel), gardens and restaurant–our doors are always wide open and everything is very reasonably priced! Otherwise drop us a line for volunteering or any query…

About our volunteer program

We have a volunteer program that could fit you.
This is also a touristic place surrounded by sandy beaches and desertic dunes and we offer guided tours, workshops, therapies and other services.
We like to walk through the village explaining about a more healthy conscious way of living including how to grow vegetables without chemicals, how to live in harmony with animals and being vegetarians. We have many children’s schools visiting here and we show them that is not necessary to take drugs and alcohol to live a happy life. We help people to turn their life around by showing them a different way of living free of addictions and promoting the importance of family values.

We do have rooms and all the volunteers coming to stay with us make a donation of $100 dollars per week so you dont have to pay for food , acommodation or spanish lessons, etc. This donation you give is for materials and basic needs (which are numerous!). Remember that you are coming to join a group of people living together: this is a Community group and it’s a non-profit community. You will see.

You have the opportunity to experience a different culture a way of living, to learn vegetarian cooking, organic agriculture and nutrition, yoga, philosophy and different kinds of art. You can also participate to our workshops and so find back and use your creativity, as well as make new friends and have an experience of a lifetime.

Please get in touch when you are coming, we are at your service! Look forward to seeing you…

Eco Truly Park is just one hour by bus north of Lima in Chakra y Mar Beach, at km 63 of the Panamericana Norte highway just before the town of Chancay – for more details please send an email at voluntariado@ecotrulypark.orgThis e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
