During the Pakistan armed forces operation in district Swat and Shangla , thousand of families were compelled to migrate from their native town to safe places. 6000 the most vulnerable and poor families took shelter in government schools of Mingora City, Swat. As having no residential facilities from the government side the local volunteers numbering 70 or 80 took the task and on self help basis accomplished the welfare services to the displaced people.

To pay tribute to these volunteers for performing outstanding services to the displaced people SYF celebrated a program titled” Swat Volunteer award ceremony” in a local hotel on 11th December, 2007. The details of the program are annexed with the email in PDF format.
