Earthquake reconstruction or teaching in Nepal village

We are located in the rural hilltop village of Changu Narayan, near Kathmandu, and are looking for volunteers who can work in our community. Volunteers can help in a variety of ways — helping to repair our beautiful temple and houses damaged by the earthquake, teaching English at the local school, running educational programs in the school, or running environmental programs in our community.

You don’t have to have any specific skills, just a willingness to help. Volunteers will be expected to work 4 hours a day, for 5 days a week. Volunteers will be given a quiet, private room (with great views) at our homestay and three meals a day. We ask our volunteers to pay US$6 per day.

On their days off, we are happy to show volunteers around the beautiful sites of the Kathmandu valley. There are beautiful views over the valley from our village, and lots of great hiking in the area. We are only 1 hour from Kathmandu and 30 mins from Bhaktapur. We can organise airport pickup if needed. Please contact us through our Facebook page at: facebook.com/changunarayanvillagevilla
