I have recently finished a stint of volunteering at a school in Honduras, Cofradia billingual school, the school provides education for disadvantaged children in the area, which is about 45 minutes from san pedro sula. You work with local teachers and a team of volunteers. Free food and accomodation is provided and depending on the length of your stay a stipend is given. Its a great experience and really worthwhile. Ben is the person you would need to contact and he will be honest and answer any questions. I Found it to be a great experience, if testing at times!! everyone is really supportive and if you need help its there. If your looking for a different experience i fully recoommend this one.
