Hi, I am looking for volunteers to help a struggling orphanage in beautiful Pokhara, Nepal. Its got 9 children at the moment but many more waiting in line who have suffered in their young life’s through various family problems.
Here we try and provide not just the basic care that each requires but look towards the long term future of each of them. Our aim is to help them not just to reach adulthood by providing the best care we can by giving volunteers the opportunity to help in one of the most beautiful places in Nepal and combine this with the chances of trekking or rafting in the foothills of the Himalayas. So help genuine orphans and see the Himalayas in there majestic beauty.
Project Location: Gaurighat, DarbarMarg, Lakeside-6,
City / Village: Pokhara, Nepal
Project Duration: Ongoing
Project start date: One to five months.
Language Preference: English preferred but all are welcome
Experience required (If any): None except a caring heart to help with children who have suffered.
Attributes/Qualities Required:
None but the ability to make a child smile and laugh.
Period of volunteering opportunity: Minimum one month
Age Range: 18 and above
Accommodation if Available and details: Live in
Meals if available and details: Provided
Transportation if available and details: Will be sorted for you to and from Pokhara
Any other local hospitality with details: N/A

Working with the children and giving them care and assistance.·

Hi no its not it is a single orphange based in Pokhara with genuine orphans all who have experienced loss and hardship.
If you would like to know more then i can provide all details as required. There are about 5 orphanages i know of in Pokhara so you could be looking for one of them. If you want help tracking Hope and home orphange i can help.

I am currently an Engligh teacher in China and have been so for just over two years. I am going to be in Nepal at the end of July and want to do some vounteer work with children for two or threee months while I am there. I would like to know if the live in accomadation is with a family and what cost would be involved. How many orphans do you currently have at you orphanage and how many hours would you like a volunteer to be there each week?
