Almost there

So, I have put a lot of time in over the past few months trying to improve this site. I am planning on taking a year off from work, which was just approved, and travel around volunteering in different places. I think the site is a lot easier to navigate now. I am working on getting a forum up and running but that looks like it will take another couple weeks.

My last day of work will be October 1st. I will be looking for places to volunteer and am open to suggestion. It is looking like I will be starting off in Peru and going from there. I will be maintaining a separate blog at www.wanderingwahba.com. Please comment if you have any ideas where I should go.

Thanks

hi i just wanted to tell you how great i think this site is! i found it easy to navigate and your philosophy on why this site was birthed is aligned with my own too! =) Is this a small number of people who have collaborated to set this up? Its just wonderful!

As for travel and volunteering, i dont know where u are starting but i suggest a travel plan of a mix of hot and cool (temperature) places maybe to get variety. Also i think you might be happy going to places that you resonate with -attracted to and think of researching them first. I am never ever unhappy when I do this first, as then all I get it a present in the form of an experience that I have an idea of already. I love surprises but when it comes to travel, I like to know what I am getting into a little bit beforehand.

Feel free to email me for more communication.
    Warmest regards

    Thanks FiYang,

Glad to hear the site is easier to use. That was the goal of the site ‘face-lift’. I started the site a couple years ago and it has slowly been gathering steam and getting contributions from around the world which is great to see.

As for my travels, it is looking like I am going to end up in Peru in October. I amplanning on volunteering with Right to Play for a couple months and then spend a month on the road. That is the plan today but who know. I need to finalize things soon though, as October keeps creeping closer!
